COVID-19 Protocols

Spring Branch ISD and YES Prep will continue to implement a multi-pronged, layered approach following health and safety guidance from federal, state, and local governmental agencies to ensure a safe and healthy start to in-person learning. The district will continue to monitor the spread of viruses and other infectious diseases and adjust mitigation procedures as needed. The district will continue to consult with healthcare professionals to make needed updates to the SBISD health and safety plan..

Free COVID-19 Vaccines for Students Ages 12 and Up tomorrow Saturday, September 11th

Second Shot for Students Who Took the Vaccine on or before Aug. 21, First Shot Also Available

Spring Branch ISD will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics at five schools Saturday, Sept. 11, for students ages 12 and up who received their first shot on or before Aug. 21 and are returning for their second shot. First shots also will be available to those students who have not yet been vaccinated.

The events will be held in partnership with the Harris County Health Department, which says it will provide the vaccines free of charge and the staff to administer them.

The clinics will be held at Hollibrook, Spring Branch, Pine Shadows and Meadow Wood elementary schools and Northbrook Middle School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Spring Branch ISD students ages 12 and up from any school in the district can go to any of the listed schools to receive the vaccines.

2021 YES Prep Homecoming Court

We would like to congratulate the winners of the 2021 Homecoming Court! The King and Queen will be crowned at the Homecoming Game on 9/10 at Tully Stadium during the Halftime show.


Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, we are unable to host in-person back-to-school nights this year. We will continue with our virtual opportunities for families to get to know their children's teachers. The schedule for the virtual meetings are:

Student Council is here! Beginning next week, the student council application will be available in the SSO (C219) for the 21-22 school year. If your child is interested, they must follow fill out the application to run for office and they must meet all deadlines outlined below. The structure for this year’s student council is detailed below.

Student Role Responsibilities:

·       President—Runs regular meetings, appoints committees as needed, sets the example for the council, and monitors other roles.

·       Vice President—Serves in the place of the President in his/her/their absence, helps the Secretary with duties, is in charge of activity requests, and organizes supply orders.

·       Treasurer—Maintains knowledge of council’s budget and expenses, keeps all financial records with staff sponsor, oversees fundraisers, and is financial advisor to the council.

·       Secretary—Takes meeting attendance, writes the agenda with the staff sponsor, types the meeting minutes (notes), and handles the official paperwork for the council.

 Applications open today: Harris County adds another $30 million to COVID Relief Fund

HOUSTON – Another $30 million has been added to Harris County Recovery Assistance (HCRA), allowing the program to reopen to receive additional applications from Sept. 8-12.

The program, which is administered by Catholic Charities, provides $1,500 one-time grants to families struggling due to COVID-related layoffs and wage reductions.

A family experiencing pandemic-related financial hardships may apply as long as one member of the household has legal status and if the total household income falls below 60% of the HUD Area Median Family Income ($33,300 for one person; $47,520 for a family of four).

People with questions are urged to call (832) 345-6289 from Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

YES Prep Northbrook HS is a HERO school!

HERO encourages positive student behavior choices. When students demonstrate HERO behaviors, they may earn points toward exciting incentives. We invite students and parents to register your own HERO account so we may keep the lines of communication between home and school open. Once you register online, you may download the HERO app to receive push notifications about your student’s HERO behavior throughout the day. Students and Guardians will each have a unique Hero login account.

To register, follow these easy steps:

2) Select the parent or student button

3) Click “Create An Account”

4) Enter name, your email address, choose a password, click “Create user”

5) Click “Add Student”

6) Enter your student’s ID#, Date of Birth, and Last Name.
